Spring Break has passed and we are back into the swing of things at CSULB. However, a new problem has presented itself; how are we going to afford the newest beach styles? No worries! I will be the first to admit, 3D prints are one of the more difficult styles to pull-off on a budget. However, it can be achieved with a little ingenuity. This River Island version is priced well under $100. The bikini top is $30; while the bottom is a mere $24.00. Also, look for mix & match pieces. Invest in a top, bottom or even a cover-up. Then grab a basic to pair with your investment piece. Be courageous and fashion forward. Think outside the box!

There is absolutely no shortage of affordable long sleeve options. This sleek option is both fashion forward and attainable. Adidas provides a sporty option via Zappos at $65. Aeropostale and Forever 21 provide an array of options for under $30. To take complete advantage of the savings, mix the long-sleeve tops with basic bottoms. This is a great way to save and still have a variety of swimwear
throughout the Summer months.

The flounce trend is on fire. Luckily, it also looks wonderful on a wide range of body types. And with affordable options it is a win-win. PacSun offers a wide variety including one-pieces under $50. With the current Buy 1, Get One at 50% off sale buying 2 may be a great option. Two suits for under $100 is a steal!
And, if you are looking to splurge a bit...Revolve Clothing is offering a beautiful flounce two-piece by Trina Turk at $94. I would consider this an investment piece.
However, my "go-to" option for trendy and affordable style spot is still Target. Target offers an array of options at rock-bottom prices. And, as an added bonus the majority of offerings are offered on a mismatch basis. Mix and match any top and bottom.
The pink/orange laser print flounce is currently offered at $16.19 for the bikini top. The bottom is priced at $12.99. While, the blue flounce is priced at $21.99 per piece. This makes each suit feasible for most budgets.
Life's a Sketch but far from unattainable. With a little imagination and ingenuity anything is possible...even remaining fashionable. So, discover your favorite trend and shop away!
